Employment Registration Form for Foreign Employees in China (for Expo 2010)

The above form and work visa/ permit application in question should be endorsed and stamped by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination (BSWEC). As such, the work visa applications can be simplifed to two applications, namely, work permit application and residence permit application. (The normal work visa applications involve four applications.) That means expatriates who endorsed and stamped by BSWEC can hold business visa or tourist visa to enter China, without exiting China and getting work visa, they can directly apply for work permit/ residence permit in Shanghai. It is a good news for expatriates seeking employment in relation to world expo.

The detailed rules & regulations regarding the above have yet to be published. We assume more detailed ones will come out in the near future and will keep you all posted of the updates.
